Sberatel / Collector is not only the largest sales fair for collectibles in Central and Eastern Europe, but also offers an original accompanying programme every year. Visiting it is thus an interesting trip not only for collectors, but also for people who have a collector in the family and are looking for a suitable gift for him or her, or for families with children.
Unless otherwise stated, all events are held on the stage in front of the Czech Post exhibition.
FRIDAY 6. 9.

The Museum of Securities will unveil the shape of a special “stamp banknote” or “banknote stamp” in its exhibition No. 205. It is a commemorative sheet in the form of a banknote with a facsimile of a postage stamp, which commemorates the 130th anniversary of the birth of the artist, painter and engraver Bohumil Heinz. The artist was the author of both banknotes and postage stamps, and the newly announced collector’s novelty printed using a combined offset and steel printing technique is intended to link the two worlds.

Opening of the exhibition dedicated to the address label from the Titanic ship’s mail and presentation of the commemorative postmarked postcard and seven-block stamp issued by the Czech Post to mark the event.

Day with Fantomas! The 0 euro souvenir banknote, a nine-block stamp and a collector’s novelty – a gift blister with a medal, which feature his drawing as the main motif, will be presented by artist Roman Sedlák. The Sberatel Fair is thus celebrating the sixtieth anniversary of the release of the first Fantomas film in cinemas.

Launch of „my own stamps“ with motifs of graphic sheets by artist Milan Bauer. They were inspired by the world of Jules Verne and are on sale at sberatelshop.cz.

The artist Daria Maier, who creates postage stamps for the Kyrgyz Express Post, will present a new convolute of stamps with a bird motif and the Kyrgyz Express Post will present a commemorative postcard with a dinosaur motif issued especially for this year’s Sberatel fair. It will also be possible to get an autograph from Daria Maier at the Kyrgyz Express Post stand on both days of the fair.
Autographing of the medallist Asamat Baltaev in the exposition of the Czech Mint. At the same time, the Mint will launch a new one-ounce silver medal “Czech Lion” in a tasteful design. It is issued in an edition of only 1,000 pieces and every fan of the Czech Mint and the Czech Lion will receive a small lion ornament.

Antonín Panenka, the 1976 European champion from Belgrade, will come on the first day of the fair to personally present his collector’s commemorative banknote, which is on sale at the stand of the Personalities of the Century No. 214. An autograph session will follow.

Moje mincovna CZ will give away 500 copies of the unique Prague Castle commemorative medal free of charge to visitors of the fair. At the same time, you can enter the draw for valuable prizes at stand 210.

Gabriela Soukalová, world champion and Olympic medallist in biathlon, will take part in an autograph session at the VDN Promo stand 312, where she will also present her own collector’s figurine.

The artist Petr Ptáček will personally present the new Czech Post stamp with the motif of the first Czechoslovak aerodynamic car Wikov 35 „Kapka“.

Unveiling of the new Czech Post stamp sheet ‘Animals in our nature with their young’ with the participation of the authors Libuše and Jaromír Knotek and engraver Martin Srb.

Another personality who made a significant contribution to the development of Czech philately will be inducted into the “Hall of Fame of the Czech Postage Stamp”, which is organised under the auspices of the Society for Art and Collecting. The event is co-organised by the Sberatel fair, the Czech Post, the Postal Museum, the magazine Philately and the Hradištko printing house.

Autographing of the sculptor and medalist Vladimír Oppl, together with the presentation of the silver medal “Jan Žižka of Trocnov – 600 years”, issued by the Kutná Hora Mint. It is marketed in a limited edition of one hundred pieces together with a numbered silver mace. In addition, Vladimír Oppl will sign a limited edition of one hundred collector’s finecards, created especially for this occasion, during the autograph session. Each signature will be accompanied by a personal dedication.

Will the Sberatel Fair set a record for the number of stamp makers gathering in one place?! The Czech Post has prepared a traditional “mega autograph session ” of the artists with whom it cooperates. Among the confirmed names are Libuše and Jaromír Knotek, Kamil Knotek, Petr Ptáček, Roman Sedlák, Otakar Karlas, Markéta Prachatická, Eva Hašková, Jan Maget, Jan Kavan, Pavel Sivko, Karel Zeman, Adolf Absolon, Michal Novák and engravers Martin Srb, Jaroslav Tvrdoň, Lucie Bandiková and Václav Fajt.
The autograph session will take place in a separate hall 5, which is directly connected to the fair hall where the Sberatel fair is held.
SATURDAY 7. 9.

“My own Stamps Day” under the auspices of the Professional Society of Collectors of Own Stamps. The Czech Post will present a new format of My own Stamps in the form of the Gastronomy stamp sheet by artist Jiří Slíva, which consists of two motifs of ‘traditional Czech food’ and the. The Day of Own Stamps is also accompanied by a commemorative cancellation of the Czech Post.

The engraver Miloslav Bláha will come to the fair to show his art to the general public. He has been designing and producing commemorative cancellations for the Czech Post for more than 40 years. However, he also deals with their repair, restoration of engravings of weapons, jewellery decoration and other works that require fine hands, art and mastery acquired over the years.

Visitors can get one of 500 copies of the unique Prague Castle commemorative medal of charge and enter a draw for valuable prizes at the My Mint CZ stand No. 210.
On Saturday you can also visit the event “100 years of Letňany Airport”. More than 100 types of aircraft representing the history of the airport and the domestic aviation industry will be presented. In addition to aircraft in the air, there will be presentations by the Czech Army, state and municipal police, military historical clubs, including a wide range of equipment and much more. Letňany Airport is located in close proximity to the exhibition centre within walking distance
ON BOTH DAYS OF THE FAIR
The phenomenon of the ‘Madonna from Zalany village’ at the Sberatel Fair. Every year, the Sberatel Fair also attracts collectors of small antiques. Not only for them will certainly be interesting the exhibition of folk wood carvings of the Virgin Mary, which they will find at the fair in the exposition of „the Podbrdske Museum in Rožmitál pod Třemšínem city“.
An interesting presentation of the collections of members of the Professional Societies associated under the Union of Czech Philatelists can be found in the foyer of the exhibition centre.
