A unique graphic print accompanying the issue of the “Záviš´ Cross” post stamp, of which only 2,500 copies were made, will also be available during the “Collector” fair at the Czech Post stand. It will be sold as a complete set, including an information bulletin, for a nominal price of CZK 950. Actually, why is it unique? For the first time in the history of the Czech Post, the “Záviš´ Cross” stamp, named after a reliquary kept at the Vyšší Brod monastery, was also released as a very nice graphic set consisting of two graphic prints; the two prints are placed in a chamois folder, numbered and provided with authentic signatures of the author and engraver Miloš Ondráček and Prior of the Cistercian Monastery in Vyšší Brod Jan Justýn Berka, Ocist.
To commemorate the anniversary of one of the most renowned cheeses of the world (1791 – 2013), the world’s largest collection of cheese etiquettes and labels, Laktos Collection, has provided a selection of 600 labels from all over the world which document the history and popularity of the cheese.
The 1928 Praga Grand 17/60 vintage car on loan from the Praga Museum from Zbuzany was a source of inspiration for a new series of Czech Post stamps dedicated to famous domestic pre-war car models. Car photo
For the first time ever, the “Collector” fair will give philatelists an opportunity to see all “My Own Stamps” sheets that have so far been issued in the Czech Republic. The term “My Own Stamp” (MOS) refers to stamps identified by a letter, whose picture part is reserved for any personalized motif or company logo specified by the customer. The stamps are not distributed through normal channels, which is why they are much valued in the philatelic community.
The christening of the new post stamp commemorating the 1150th anniversary of the arrival of St. Cyril and St. Methodius to Great Moravia and jointly issued by postal services of Slovakia, Czech Republic, Vatican and Bulgaria, will be supplemented by an exhibition of holy cards with motifs of the two apostles.
